Still Hurting After Trying Everything?

Most active people in Springfield don't lack effort — they lack answers. If you've been through generic care and still can't get back to the activity you love, it's not your fault. Here's what usually goes wrong.

Passive Care That Only Masks the Pain

Adjustments, ice packs, and ultrasound feel good in the moment — but if nothing addresses why the problem started, you'll be back on the table in six weeks with the same injury.

Told to Rest and Wait It Out

"Just take a few weeks off" is the most frustrating advice for an active person. Rest doesn't rebuild strength, fix movement patterns, or prepare your body to handle load again.

Insurance Ends Before You're Ready

When an insurance company decides your care is done, your recovery stops — even if you're only halfway back. You deserve a plan that runs on your goals, not a billing cycle.

Why Springfield Athletes Choose 417 Performance

Every visit is 30 to 60 minutes of one-on-one time with your doctor — no aides, no handoffs, no upsells. Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before your first visit to 417 Performance Chiropractic in Springfield, MO.

We operate on a self-pay, flat-rate model. This means one clear price covers your entire visit — every treatment tool included, no upsells, and no insurance company deciding when your care ends. Many patients find they spend less and get more than they did through insurance-limited care.

No referral is needed, and we typically offer same-week appointments. 417 Performance is a self-pay clinic with all-inclusive flat-rate pricing. We accept HSA/FSA cards and offer payment plans. If you have out-of-network benefits, we can provide a superbill and support reimbursement through Reimburify. Not sure if we're the right fit? Start with a free one-on-one Discovery Call — no commitment required.

No referral needed. You can contact us directly and we can typically get you in the same week.

Your first visit is a 45–60 minute movement-based assessment. Dr. Bolin or Dr. Shepherd will review your full injury history, perform a functional movement screen, explain exactly what's driving your pain, and send you a detailed written plan afterward.

A Discovery Call is a free 15-minute phone consultation. It's the best way to find out whether 417 Performance is the right fit for your situation before you commit to a visit. We'll review your history, listen to what you've already tried, and map out your goals for care.

Most patients experience a brief muscle twitch or mild ache during dry needling, followed by significant relief. Kelsey Watters reported her hip pain was substantially reduced the very next day after her first session. Dr. Bolin and Dr. Shepherd will explain everything before and during treatment.

Traditional chiropractic often focuses on passive adjustments alone. At 417 Performance, every visit combines hands-on care (adjustments, dry needling, IASTM, shockwave, soft tissue work) with structured corrective exercise — because fixing movement patterns is what keeps the problem from coming back.

It varies by condition, but most patients follow our three-phase model: reduce pain and restore mobility, rebuild stability and movement patterns, then return to full performance. Your doctor will give you a clear timeline at your first visit based on your specific situation.

Absolutely — that's exactly what we built 417 Performance for. Whether your goal is returning to running, golf, weightlifting, pickleball, or recreational sports, your entire program is built around getting you back to that specific activity, pain-free and stronger than before.
