Born and raised in Northeast Missouri, Na’Kea Shepherd developed a passion for athletics at an early age, excelling in competitive sports like gymnastics, softball, and track. Her dedication to performance and perseverance as a multi-sport athlete fueled her desire to understand the human body and its incredible capacity for recovery and peak performance.
As a collegiate Track and Field athlete at Truman State University, Na’Kea’s interest in sports medicine was ignited. Experiencing firsthand the benefits of sports chiropractic care, she became committed to helping others recover from injury and achieve their athletic potential.
After earning her Bachelor’s of Science in Public Health Education from Truman State University, Na’Kea advanced her studies at Logan University, where she honed her skills in rehabilitation, injury prevention, and functional movement techniques. Her training uniquely equips her to blend evidence-based therapeutic methods with a personalized, holistic approach to patient care.
Over the years, Na’Kea has worked with a wide range of clients, from collegiate athletes pushing the limits of performance to weekend warriors looking to regain their active lifestyle. Her philosophy centers around treating the whole person, not just the injury—ensuring her patients return to their best selves stronger, more resilient, and empowered to continue doing what they love.
